"I guess it is swinging like a monkey," said Garth LeNoury of Cape Town, South Africa, working the high steel of the 15-car Century Wheel at the 95th Ramsey County Fair in Maplewood. LeNoury is among some 40 workers assembling 18 rides from Coon Rapids-based GoldStar Amusements for the fair's opening. "It's nice and clean here, but I miss my family back home," said LeNoury of his mom, dad and sister, almost 9,000 miles away. He adds that the Minnesota summer is much nicer than the current Cape Town winter, rainy and 50 degrees.
