Fear and Loathing in Wobegon
The Minnesota Caucus Trail
by Craig Lassig
The political calendar brought the Republican troupe to Minnesota for a brief but brief few days. The phenomenon included a pig, glitter, a baffled baby and free meatballs. A bout of campaigners can be odd thing to photograph – the waiting, logistics, other photographers – lots of other photographers – but it never disappoints. OK, sometimes it disappoints, but it offers a chance to look at the political world up close, glitter and all.
